About This Wine

Hill of Grace is one of the pinnacles of Australian wine. With a lineage and history of ageing that is rivalled only by Penfolds Grange, Hill of Grace is the most sought after single vineyard Shiraz in Australia. Perfectly aged bottles are rare to find and the 1991 vintage seems to be one of the most outstanding vintages ever created and continues to get better with every passing year. This icon belongs on the table or in the cellar of any avid collector of globally recognised fine wines. The 1991 Shiraz Hill of Grace Keyneton Vineyard is the most backward of the Henschke wines, with an earthy minerality, and explosive black fruits the likes of which are often seen in northern Rhone Valley wines made from ancient vines. This huge, broodingly backward, muscular, brawny, immensely concentrated yet formidably endowed wine is drinking perfectly now after its 35th birthday; it should keep for another 15-20+ years. These are awesome examples of what Australia is capable of producing.
