2010
The 2010 Montrachet Grand Cru comes very close to perfection. It certainly ranks as one of the greatest wines I have ever tasted from practically the only significant producer in Burgundy I have never visited. It has a breathtaking nose with such delineation and mineralité that the world pauses for just a moment. The palate is just as good: intense, tensile, steely with immense weight and mind-boggling length. There is a crystalline beauty in this wine that one rarely comes across. I suspect that on another occasion, I might well be dishing out a rare three-figure score. (Drink between 2024-2050) 99 points Neal Martin, Vinous
