| How do I update the row legend in the main cellar and where are the drink by dates stored?

The rows in the main cellar grid are colour coded to enable you to highlight which are aging and which wines are too young to drink.
To update the colours or the wording in the legend box:
- Click on Tools then System Settings.
- Click on Grid Colour Settings.
- Change the text and/or colours to suit.
- Click Save.
For this function to work correctly, the drink by dates need to be set for all of the bottles in your cellar. You would generally do these at the time that you enter the wine details.
- Click on Wine Cellar on the Main Menu.
- Click on New Wine.
- Enter the wine information then click on the Wine Details tab.
- There are three fields there for First Year, Best Year and Last Year.
If you did not input these values at the time you entered your wine, they can still be updated.
- Click on Wine Cellar on the Main Menu.
- Highlight the bottle to update.
- Select Edit Bottle and update the details for First Year, Best Year and Last Year.
However, that can be time consuming. There is also a Bulk Update feature whereby a number of wines can be updated with the same value.
- Click on Wine Cellar on the Main Menu.
- Click on Bulk Update.
- Search or filter for the wines to be updated and select the specific rows. You can Ctrl or Shift Click for multiple selections.
- Select the column to update and enter the new value.
- Click Update Wine when you are ready.
Lastly, you can have values defaulted in the First Year, Best Year and Last Year. The first option is:
- Click on Options.
- Click on Default Settings
- Select Use Global Values...
- Enter the number of years to add to the wine vintage. This is the value that will be defaulted in.
- Click Save.
Alternatively:
- Click on Options.
- Click on Default Settings
- Unselect Use Global Values...
- Click Save.
- Click on Utilities
- Click on Reference Data and Select Varieties.
- You can then select how many years to add to the vintage for each variety. This is more granular but takes longer to setup.
